About

I've been producing and selling work to the UK and abroad and a member of the Cartoonist Club of Great Britain since 1980. I sold my first cartoon in 1n 1979 to The Daily Mirror. Clients include daily newspapers such as the Mirror, Sun, Star, Mail, Express, News Of The World (remember that?) and had my daily cartoon strips run in The London Evening News, The Post (National) and regional UK newspapers. Weekly publications such as Take A Break (I helped create issue one), Mail On Sunday, Sunday People, Sunday Mirror and many monthly magazines including Yours, Pot Black, Darts World and a host of house titles for Bauer, EMAP and publishers I can’t remember myself anymore, also a few books and syndication both home and abroad. I also worked as an agent for other artists and puzzle compilers. Around 2006 I changed direction (by then, I’d been in the business for 26 years and was just getting bored, some might say burned out) and worked in partnership with my wife on various projects which worked out well. In 2009 I registered as a Tai Chi Instructor with The Tai Chi Union for Great Britain (I took it up in 2001) and taught three times a week for ten years, writing four books on the subject. In 2018 I decided to return to art because I am at my happiest creating, not so happy chasing work, so I generally don't. I welcome friendly sharing of posts. If you want to use them commercially, I am very reasonably priced and friendly. If you are a charity you are welcome to get in touch with any interesting projects. If I can help, I produce charcoal, pastels and pencil (which is way harder than I remember it being).
